Peter Akmajian is a trial lawyer with a practice focus of medical malpractice, legal malpractice, legal ethics, (Professional Liability & Professional Licensing), product liability as well as commercial litigation, and insurance law. Certified since 1998 by the State Bar of Arizona as a Specialist in the area of personal injury and wrongful death, Mr. Akmajian has tried to verdict over 40 jury trials. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Professional Liability Defense federation, and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Akmajian is honored to have served as a judicial law clerk for Vice-Chief Justice Frank X. Gordon of the Arizona Supreme Court, from 1984 – 1985. He is listed in Best Lawyers of America and Super Lawyers. Mr. Akmajian graduated from the University of Arizona for both undergraduate and law school (B.A., with distinction 1980) (J.D., with distinction 1984).

 

Representative Matters:

  • Defended and tried numerous medical malpractice cases to verdict, including claims in the areas of ER medicine, radiology, dermatology, cardiology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, family practice and critical care medicine
  • Provides Defense in complex legal malpractice trials
  • Handled numerous commercial disputes, including the areas of commercial defamation, trademark and intellectual property and breach of contract
  • Tried numerous personal injury cases, including defending Costco in Southern Arizona
  • Provides representation of  lawyers in Bar proceedings
  • Provides representation of health care professionals before licensing boards
